I'm not a huge fan of Vampire films but I was pretty surprised by this trailer.

The year is 2019 and the human population has been almost completely wiped out by vampires. With their blood supplies running low and human race on the verge of extinction, the last remaining survivors team up with some rebel vampires to try and save mankind.

I was surprised by the Sci-Fi element of this movie, and I like the plot. Plus i'm a big Willem DaFoe Fan and I think he looks awesome in this. Daybreakers is scheduled to hit theaters on January 8, 2010. What did you think of the trailer?

Jackie Earle Haley teases Freddy Krueger Glove

Jackie Earle Hayle recently posted this image on TwitPic, at first you don't see anything special. But look closer, it's the claws of the Freddy Krueger Glove! Like I've said before I enjoy the Platnium Dunes remakes and I am very excited for this one. Jackie Earle Hayle is the perfect Freddy Krueger, and I think this is a cool way to tease the fans.

Prince of Darkness Review

Prince of Darkness, John Carpenter's 10th feature film, is the story of a Priest (played by Donald Pleasence), who finds a Mysterious cylinder full of green fluid. The Priest then contacts Prof. Howard Birack and his group of Physics Graduate Students to investigate it. After the group discovers that the cylinder is the essence of evil, and that it is trying to escape, they have to find a way to stop it.

Prince of Darkness is a very slow movie, and at some points hard to follow, but when it gets going, IT GETS GOING. The end of this film is absolutely incredible, and it has one of the most subtly disturbing scenes i've ever seen on film. In this scene one of the women trys to stop another woman who has been possessed, from bringing Satan into the world through a mirror portal. so she shoves her back through the portal and falls in herself. The Priest then throws an axe at the mirror to keep the devil out, but traps her inside as well forever. This scene is incredibly powerful. The movie is also loaded with lots of great gore, and makeup effects.

Prince of Darkness is one of those films that gives you nightmares for nights after you see it. It's incredibly powerful and I would certainly recommend it.

The Stepfather Remake Trailer

I have never seen the original, but I have to say this movie looks awesome!

Michael returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend. As the two men get to know each other, he becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand.

I know some people may be getting tired of these glossy, Platinum Dunes style remakes, but I have to say I really enjoy alot of them. This one in particular looks AWESOME. I'm a big fan of Slasher films, and Dylan Walsh looks awesome in this. Plus this movie has a BADASS poster. I will certainly be checking this out, and i'm now going to seek out the original. The Stepfather is scheduled to be released on October 16th 2009.
